The Jabsco 3255 cam is the UK part number for the Jabsco USA 3255-0000 cam. This cam replaces Johnson 01-42442 cam plates.
The cam plate, often referred to as a comb plate deforms the flexible impeller blades to create a flow of liquid inside the pump. The cam plate is a wearing part inside of the pump and should be inspected regularly and replaced when needed to maintain pump performance.
