Description
The Quick GP2 2000F horizontal on-deck windlass is suitable for boats from 8-13 meters (26-43 ft) and is supplied with a 12V T6415-12 contactor unit and a lever for the windlass as standard. To ensure durability and top performance, the windlass has an anodized aluminium in hard oxide base and an epicyclical gearbox that provides much higher efficiency (+40% compared to equivalent traditional gearboxes).
This windlass has a 6mm gypsy which is suitable for 6mm DIN 766 and 6mm ISO chain, as well as 1/2″ (12.7mm) rope. (PLEASE NOTE these values refer to a three-strand polyester rope with a rope/chain splice manufactured with the Quick© system).
This particular model features Free-Fall technology which allows free running of chain through the gypsy when lowering the anchor. Simply by pressing the down control button, the windlass will release its clutch and the gypsy will freewheel. To stop the Free-Fall, press the up control button on the windlass and the clutch will engage stopping the gypsy and allowing retrieval of the chain.
